We are an award winning picturesque coarse fishery, set in 45 acres of landscaped North Yorkshire Countryside, and one of the biggest commercial fisheries in the UK. We have 13 very well stocked lakes containing – all varieties of carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, perch, barbel and golden orfe. 

Weekly Open matches on the carp match lakes run Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and in recent years have hosted Fish O’Mania qualifiers, Drennan Summer, Winter Leagues and many more. 

These matches almost guarantee a turnout of 50+ anglers and have attracted some of the angling greats; Alan Scotthorne, Tommy Pickering, John Allerton to name a few!

On a Monday we run an over 50’s match.

We are now pleased to announce that dogs are very welcome on the premises – providing they are kept on a lead, and that you dispose of your dog’s waste.

The Watermill Cafe

A licensed cafe serving full breakfast, hot rolls, homemade burgers, daily specials and homemade sweets. 

In addition to tea and coffee, drinks include Draught, John Smiths, fosters and Strongbow Cider, to either drink in the cafe or take back to your peg!

Ladies and Gents toilets are available inside the cafe, and also outside when the cafe is closed.

Tackle Shop

Woodlands tackle shop contains a great selection of all the well known brands of fishing rods, poles, and terminal tackle and top quality advice always available. Fresh bait is always available as are fishery feed pellets.

Father and Son – Jimmy and Craig Kent are knowledgable fisherman, and are always available to give helpful advice on equipment, match details or bookings, and bait choices.
