Wholsea Grange Fishery first opened to the public in 1997. We aim to provide a quality angling experience for both match and pleasure fishermen.  Our policy is to stock small fish allowing them to grow and breed to the natural capacity of the water. We have recorded some good match weights, up to 100lb plus.

We currently have 4 ponds open for fishing:

Pond 1 is approximately 1.5 acres, 15 pegs single bank fishing, or 23 pegs double bank. Stocked with carp up to 15lb, roach, bream and skimmers, tench and gudgeon. The water runs to 10ft deep.

The New Lake is approximately 2 acres, well stocked with carp up to 8lb, ide, tench and roach.  Designed as a match lake, there are 35 pegs.  This water is multi-featured with islands, lily pads and reed beds and is of varied depths to approx 7ft.

The Corner Pond is small and secluded with only 6 pegs.  A favourite with many pleasure anglers stocked with large carp and roach up to 2lb. A 180 meter walk from the nearest parking area.

The Old Pond is a quiet and attractive small pond with 7 pegs. stocked with carp, skimmers, roach, rudd and tench.  We allow keep nets on this pond.

Snake lake now open. 26 pegs stocked with carp, skimmers, tench, ide and chub.
