Tyram Fisheries offers anglers a wide range of choices, whether it be Match fishing, Pleasure fishing or you simply want the chance to net yourself a PB Carp or Pike.

Tyram for many years has been family run and who also have many years of angling backgrounds. We have made many changes to the lakes over the years which has mostly been put to the anglers, so we could create a venue which they want to be a part of. We cary out an extensive stocking programme at the end of every year to ensure stock levels are kept high. We have seen Match weights reach into the 200lb+ region, whilst Pleasure anglers may have seen more. The Syndicate Lake is known for many great and known fish to high 30’s with a chance of a 40lb. Also held up in the Members lake are many large Pike reaching to there low 30’s.

Island Lake

The Island Lake is the first lake you come to on the complex, this Lake holds a very high head of Carp fom 3 to 20lb. There are approx 40 pegs on the with an island running straight dwn the middle. There are many features to the with over hanging trees and planted reeds from the island, to many margin features from pads to again lots of reeds and over hanging trees. From pegs 1 to 20 you are looking at depths from 3 to 12ft, whilst pegs 21 to 40 are more platform with depths from 2 to 8ft. The lake it self is a great alrounder for all anglers. With method feeder tight to island to pellet waggler half way across all way down to fishing the margins.. This lake is a big hit with Match men due to the size the Carp go to.

 FISH STOCK: Carp 3 to 20lb, Tench 2 to 9lb, Bream 1 to 6lb, Roach upto 2lb

Horseshoe Lake

This is our second Pleasure / Match lake on site, which is a big favourite with our pleasure and regular anglers. This lake is still under going work to complete a whole new set of pegs on the outer side of the lake. Making this the biggest on site holding 75anglers at one time. At the moment all fishing is done down the spit with 30 concrete built stages. The Horseshoe Lake is also heavily stocked with Carp, Tench and Bream. With the main method of the lake is fishing down the margins as the lake it self is deeper than the Island Lake. You can enjoy a great day here just fishing 4 mtrs out to the edge of the drop off using either Mussles or Paste. Match weights to date have exceded 150lb+ altough you can expect more on pleasure days.  Throught 2013 the lake has been stocked heavily with Carp from 1 to 3lb making it a great bagging water for those using either pole or pellet waggler.

 FISH STOCK: Carp 1 to 6lb, Tench 2 to 10lb, Bream 1 to 8lb, Roach to 3lb

Syndicate Carp Lake

This pond is the smallest out of all only having 19 fishable pegs. It has seen many Carp matchs over the years with our Celebrity pairs match to the well known “BCAC”  and this year we will see anglers from all overbattle it out in the Northern Carp Cup. This is a Members only water with no day tickets allowed and a waiting list is in place for those specimen anglers wanting to join. This lake has many features form raised bars to deep holes, consisting of 2 islands, lots of pads and reeds and with weedy areas along the old road and shallow bars. All in all a carp anglers dream, with lots of marging fishing and bar work. There is a large head of Carp within the lake from high doubles all the way to high 30’s, and a possibility of a 40lb with “Baby Baz” coming out at 39lb 10oz to the ed of 2013.
