Oasis Lakes Fishing & Caravan Park located on the Seaside Coast of Lincolnshire.

We are a picturesque, friendly run park on the edge of the village of North Somercotes, which is only a short 10 minute walk from our site.

There are 3 Lakes set in a 9 acre complex surrounded by forest, which offers you a tranquil and relaxing fishing holiday in superb surroundings. Our site forms a site of “Special Scientific Conservation Interest” (S.S.C.I.) due to the magnificent wildlife seen on and around the site, including: deer, badgers, natterjack toads and sand lizards, as well as all the different birds and ducks that regularly visit the site.

ABOUT US

We took over the Lakes in 2006, when it was just 3 lakes and a portable cabin. Since then we have opened the Touring Caravan Site, added Seasonal Pitches and introduced a luxury Static Caravan for holiday let. A new large facilities building was erected in 2009, which includes toilets and showers, a Tackle & Bait Shop and a Café on the ground floor, which are all wheelchair accessible. Our accommodation is on the first floor, so we can be on hand at all times for our Customers, should you need us.

The Lakes have been fished since the 1960’s, when it was privately owned as a Trout Fishery. In the 1990’s it was turned into a Commercial Fishery and well stocked with Carp and Silver fish. Before the 1960’s the lakes were dug out for sand and gravel, which give the lakes their depths.

Roadside and Island Lakes:

11 yrs of age & over £6.00 per rod/£10.00 for 2 rods

OAP, disabled & under 11 yrs of age £5.00 per rod

Anyone after 4pm £5.00 per rod

Carp Lake:

No concessions £6.00 per rod/£10.00 for 2 rods

No under 16’s unless accompanied by an adult

Maximum 2 rods per person

GENERAL RULES

Tickets must be purchased before fishing

All nets and unhooking mats must be dipped before use

No litter to be left on or around pegs

All unused bait MUST NOT be left on the

bank or emptied into the water

When fishing the carp lake DO NOT pull for a break, please ask for help

Use numbered pegs or staging provided only (ie. no fishing between pegs)

Maximum 2 rods per person

No unaccompanied under 16’s on the Carp Lake

No keep nets on the Carp Lake

Unhooking mats must be used at all times on the Carp Lake

Do not leave a baited rod unattended

Please use bank sticks or bank stick holders supplied at each peg on the Carp Lake

NOT ALLOWED

Barbed Hooks – Use manufactured BARBLESS hooks only max size 8

All unsupervised under 16’s must be signed in by an adult

No balling in large amounts of ground bait

No Dogs (unless on a lead at all times)

No Audible appliances (ie. radio’s etc.)

No Unaccompanied under 13’s

No fixed rigs, all leads and feeders must be free running up the line (no loop or paternoster rigs)

No free feeding boilies

Please do not walk around with or stand up holding a fish, return them to the water in your net as soon as possible

No spinners or plug lures of any description

No Bait boats

No B-B-Q’s

WEIGHING IN POLICY

Carp/Unhooking mats must be used

Do not tumble fish down the keep net – it can remove scales and protective mucus from the fish leaving it susceptible to parasites and infection Either, collapse the net and pull the 2nd/3rd ring from the bottom through the top on the keep net or roll the fish to the top of the keep net whilst still in the water

Place the fish back to the water from the weigh bag/net ie. place the net/bag on the surface of the water and carefully turn it inside out
