Lake One
This is situated right at the back of the site and is near the location of the log cabins, touring caravan pitches and tent pitching area. This is shown on the layout plan below behind the house at the top of the picture. The lake is of approx 1/2 acre in size, well established some 20 years old with 13 well spaced concreted fishing pegs set around its bank. There is a featured island in the centre with large willow tree growing on it offering some shade over the lake, there are also smaller islands on the lake one housing a duck house as there is an abundance of wildlife around the fishery.
Lake Two
This is the main lake at Froghall Fisheries and has been established some 20 years and is approx 1 1/2 acres in size. The lake is surrounded by established hedging which shelters it from some of the winds. The lake has 32 well spaced all concreted fishing pegs around its banks and is easily accessible and is good for all anglers including the disabled and during 2010 there will be a specific disabled car park being added to the top end of this lake to further improve access. The lake has much great to offer the angler with some great fishing to be had, there is nice cover around the banks with controlled rushes and reeds growing, to the bottom of the lake there are a few trees which are on small islands as well as some lilly pads which always add to the fun of catching some great fish. This lake has an aeration pump that operates and is located in the centre of the lake also making a good holding area for fish gaining extra oxygen from the water. The lake is well stocked with a good head of prime fish.
Lake Three
This is the first lake you arrive at when you enter the fishery, it has its own car park on the left as you come up the drive. The car park is of solid construction with a hogging finish easily allowing access to the lake with its concreted fishing pegs making this ideal for all anglers including the disabled. The established lake which is some 20 years old and is of approx 1/2 acre in size benefits from its location being open and getting plenty of light and the warmth from the sun when shinning. The lake is nicely surrounded by the mature hedging found at Froghall making this a pleasurable area to fish. The lake has an unusual bowl set in its top corner a great cover point and lay up area for many a fish.
