Forest Lane Fisheries is situated near the village of Alne just off the A19 north of York. 

There are currently 3 well stocked lakes at the venue and opens from 7am – 6pm (with 2 more in development). 

LAKES

The Don Lake 

The Lake is the oldest lake on the complex. It has 40 pegs all with a platform to fish from.

The lake has depths up to 6ft, but most pegs are usually around the 5ft mark. A variety of the pegs are suited to pole only and others to both pole, waggler and bomb/feeder work. 

Most baits work from maggots, pellets, sweetcorn, worm, paste etc..

The lake is stocked with Carp to Double Figures, Barbel up to 7lb, Tench up to 7lb, Goldfish up to 2lb, Chub up to 6lb, Bream, Skimmers, Roach, Perch and Rudd

The Furlong 

This a canal type lake which has 35 equally spaced pegs. The lake has depths up to 6ft down the main track with a slope either side to fish up to. The lake is approximately 13m wide and ideal for pole work.

Maggots and Pellets are the main baits to use here, but other baits can work such as sweetcorn and worm.

The lake is stocked with Carp to 4lb, Barbel up to 2lb, Tench up to 1.5lb, Goldfish up to 1lb, Chub up to 2lb,Bream, Skimmers, Roach, Perch and Rudd

The Oaklands 

This a square type lake which has 24 equally spaced pegs. The lake has depths up to 6ft down the main track with a slope either side to fish up to.

All of the pegs are suited for pole, waggler and bomb/feeder work.

Maggots and Pellets are the main baits to use here, but other baits can work such as sweetcorn and worm.

The lake is stocked with Carp to 4lb, Barbel up to 2lb, Tench up to 1.5lb, Goldfish up to 1lb, Chub up to 2lb,Bream, Skimmers, Roach, Perch and Rudd

 MATCHES

We hold regular open matches every Saturday, the first and third saturdays of the month are held on the don lake, the other weeks are alternated between Oaklands and The Furlong. Match results are shown below. As the website progresses, we will try and include some match reports to accompany the results. 

During the late spring/summer we also hold open matches on a monday evening, dates will be released on here once they are decided with further details.

Finally, Angling Clubs can book our lakes for matches, please call Eddie for further information on 07770 692683 as due to popular demand we are extensively booked up throughout the calendar year.

At Forest Lane we have some fantastic facilities, our newly built cafe offering full english breakfasts, teas, coffees, confectionary, soft drinks as well as a selection of baits.

Thursday/Friday – 7am – 12.30pm

Match Days – Saturday and Sunday 6.30am – 10am
