Clearwater Lakes Fishery is a spring fed lake that averages a depth of 12 feet. 

There are 120 pegs to fish from, which disabled people will find it easier fishing from access on pegs 1-6 (all cars can be parked behind your pegs or in the car park provided)

There are an Extensive range of Carp from 5lb to 20lb (with further additions in 2004 to 30lb), and other mature fish including Chub, Roach,bream and tench, .

October-March: 8:00am to Closing time advised on Fishery notice board

Rules

  • Clearwater Lakes Fishery

    FISHING RULES

    • No Dogs.
    • No Bicycles.
    • No Fires.
    • No Music.
    • Fish from Platform Pegs and not from the bank (Unless instructed to do so).
    • All Litter and rubbish to be taken home.
    • Barbless Hooks only (no closed barbs).
    • Maximum hook size 12.
    • No braid.
    • No inline or Runner method type feeding.
    • Maximum Pole length 12 Meters.
    • No fish to be removed from site.
    • No fish to be handled in rags.
    • No Tins to be opened at Fishing Pegs.
    • No Anglers under 12 (unless directly supervised by an adult).
    • One Ticket Per Rod (additional Rod £2)
    • E.A Fishing Licence Required
    • Day Ticket payment will be collected at the Peg (Check Match Board for available pegs prior to fishing)

    NETS

    • No Keep Nets (Other than in Matches).
    • All Nets to be dipped on arrival (Landing/Keep/Weighing).
    • Keep Nets and Landing nets must be approved for Carp.
    • 2 x Keepnets for Matches, 1 x Keep Net for carp and 1 x Keep Net for Silver Fish.
    • No Stones in Keep Nets.
    • All fish are to be Landed and returned to the water by Landing Net.
    • Fish with a weight of about 6lb and above must not be placed in Keep Nets, but should be weighed and immediately returned to the water.
    • On Match Days weighing will be completed by Club Match Secretary or other experienced/authorised angler on behalf of the A/C, and supervised/checked by the bailiff.

    BANNED BAITS 

    • No Meats of any Kind (Human or Animal/Pet Food)
    • No Floating baits of any kind (Includes Pellets, Bread Etc.)
    • No Trout Pellets
    • No Nuts
    • No Hemp
    • No Boilies
    • No Bloodworm
    • No Joker
    • No Dog Biscuits

    BAITS ALLOWED

    • Carp Pellets
    • Sweetcorn
    • Maggots
    • Caster
    • Worms
    • Paste
    • Bread (Not floating)
    • Groundbait to be applied by Cup or Feeder
    • Maggot cage and Goundbait feeders allowed (No bait to be moulded around the feeder)
    • Maximum bait allowed is 1kg Pellets or 1kg Ground bait

    IF IN DOUBT PLEASE ASK FOR ADVISE OR APPROVAL

    Anyone not adhering to the rules will be asked to leave immidiatly.
