Western Basin of Lake Erie is a great place for walleye, yellow perch and small mouth bass fishing. The water is relatively shallow and has little structure. The best fishing is May/ June in this area as it warms up later in the summer and the fish move East to deeper and cooler waters.
Great place for small boaters. State Park offers a very nice launch facility. Fishing can be spectacular; especially in the spring/ early summer.
