This beat combines excellent fishing on the most stunning location on the river. The river loops past the Eildon Hills in a beautiful wooded gorge giving fishers complete seclusion from the outside world. The stretch is one mile long, with two-thirds of it double bank fishing, and provides some most interesting quality fishing, with a pool or stream for every height of water.

There is an excellent hut with fully equipped kitchen and gas BBQ available for tenants use on the middle beat for all rods. There are four boats, two for fishing and two for ferrying from bank to bank. Access is by car down a private track to a small parking area about 100ft above the rod hut. From there the path is too steep for vehicles and you have to walk the remaining short distance.

From the 1st February to 13th September 2014 one ghillie is employed and four rods fish each day on a syndicate basis (Currently full for 2014 but please contact us to be placed on the waiting list incase anything arises) From the 15th September 2014, six rods are let on a daily basis with two ghillies provided. During this period, the beat is split into three, with rods fishing in pairs and rotating on an am/pm basis.

Adult Life vests are available for use free of charge, they are available by your request to the Ghillie on the day of fishing, your failure to wear one is done so entirely at your own risk. They must be returned at the end of your days fishing in a similar working order to which they where issued.

Please note that because of the steep banks you should be a reasonable walker and wader to fish this beat
