This lovely stretch of the River Avon is renowned for good brown trout and grayling. Immaculately cared for by the owners it has a high proportion of wild fish, plus fish reared on site that were the progeny of the original Avon native fish.
There is an abundance of insect life providing a varied food source with fly hatches that include mayfly, damselfly, sedge and many others. The ‘dry fly only’ rule is in force until June 1st after which traditional nymphs may be used.
The beat is shared by up to four rods. There is the option of the sporting ticket that allows you to swap between the lakes and river at will.
