I was bitten by the fishing bug at a young age with the help of my Uncle Joe, who took me under his wing as his own because I had no Father to speak of. Anyway He taught me to respect nature while finding your place in it. I am for the most part a catch and release fisherman but on occasion I will keep the fish if it was gut hooked. I have no issue with people who harvest strictly for food as long as they stay within the law and are not poaching. Fishing for me is more about being in tune with nature and spending quality time with my children because I'm sure they will remember their favorite fishing trip versus favorite t.v. show
