Surrounded by the wide open farmland of the picturesque Candover Valley, the Woolpack Inn in Totford is a Grade I listed flint and brick inn that dates back to the 1880s. Take in gorgeous countryside views from the handsome dining room while enjoying delicious British classics mixed with fantastic seasonal dishes. Later, enjoy a game of pool and a drink by the bar before retiring to your charmingly rustic rooms located in the converted stables – all exuding warm home comfort and country style.    

ACCOMMODATIONS

Nestled in the heart of Candover Valley’s shooting country, each of the Woolpack’s seven cosy double en-suite bedrooms are aptly named after game birds. Converted from the original stables, the exposed flint walls and wooden beams exude an elegant and rustic charm with a heavy emphasis on home comfort – think fluffy towels and fresh milk left daily in the fridge.

RESTAURANT & BAR

As you’d expect from an inn surrounded by farms stretching as far as the eye can see, the menu at the Woolpack is as farm-fresh and seasonal as you can get. Dine on delicious classics crafted with local flavours such as game and beef sourced directly from the neighbours. In the summer the courtyard serves excellent wood-fired pizzas from their own outdoor pizza oven – perfect sharing with family and friends.

PRIVATE DINING & EVENTS

Private dining is a handsome affair at the Woolpack. With room to seat 12 guests, the private dining room features its very own private cigar terrace making it ideal for toasting your shooting adventure or special event with some fine cigars and whiskies. For larger parties, the private courtyard with outdoor pizza oven and BBQ can hold up to 150 guests.
